Tasks
- As Senior Systems Engineer, you take technical ownership of device-level systems and system integration for our next-generation signal generators and ensure that system requirements are consistently implemented across hardware, FPGA and software.
- You perform systems and requirements engineering and ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements through system architecture and implementation to verification and test.
- You coordinate the definition of devices and components across interdisciplinary engineering teams and translate technical requirements into clear and measurable specifications.
- You define technical specifications, acceptance criteria and pass/fail criteria and take end-to-end ownership of the system verification and test strategy.
- You develop system-level test cases, test plans and simulation scenarios and drive early verification and shift-left approaches throughout the development lifecycle.
- You coordinate system integration, verification and validation of complex HW/SW systems and ensure a reliable handover of test concepts and artefacts to production and test teams.
- You continuously improve systems engineering and verification methods and explore AI-assisted approaches for test generation, data analysis and engineering workflows.
- You coach engineering teams on requirements traceability, testability and system verification and foster close collaboration between our development teams in Chemnitz and Munich.

Qualifications
- You have a Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- You have several years of professional experience in systems engineering for complex electronic products, ideally in test and measurement, electronic instrumentation or comparable high-tech systems.
- You have strong experience in requirements engineering and requirements management, including traceability, technical specifications and measurable acceptance criteria.
- You have hands-on experience in system integration, verification and validation of complex hardware/software systems and are familiar with developing test strategies, test plans and system-level test cases.
- You have a solid understanding of interdisciplinary electronic systems and are comfortable working across hardware, FPGA and software interfaces.
- Experience with laboratory measurements, automated testing, simulation or AI-assisted engineering tools is an advantage.
- You communicate effectively across engineering disciplines, facilitate technical decisions and are comfortable coaching and mentoring other engineers.
- You work in a structured and collaborative way and are confident communicating in German and English.
- You enjoy working across locations and are willing to travel to Munich when required for technical alignment and integration activities.
