Tasks

•  Lead and improve test automation frameworks across UI, API, integration, smoke, regression, SIT, and performance testing
• Maintain and stabilize Squish automated test suites, integrate tests into Jenkins pipelines, and manage automation code using GitLab/Git workflows
• Troubleshoot automation failures, environment issues, test data problems, and CI/CD pipeline issues
• Improve automation reliability, reporting, maintainability, and execution efficiency, including reducing flaky tests
• Support test environment readiness, including tools, configuration, dependencies, and data
• Define automation standards, share best practices, and mentor testers or automation engineers
• Explore opportunities to improve testing efficiency using emerging tools and practices, including AI-assisted testing where appropriat

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development and test automation, covering UI, API, integration, smoke, regression, and system integration testing (SIT). Candidates applying for a Lead role should possess 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong programming and scripting skills, preferably in Python.
• Proven ability to design, implement, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks.
• Experience working with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD, as well as Git-based workflows including branching, merge requests, and code reviews.
• Exposure to or interest in AI-assisted testing, including areas such as test generation, script maintenance, log and failure analysis, defect analysis, and automation productivity tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to automation frameworks, test environments, data, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies, quality assurance best practices, and regression testing strategies.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide, support, or mentor team members where required.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Nice to Have:
• Experience testing WPF/.NET desktop applications.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Familiarity with mock services, service virtualization, or similar testing approaches.
• Experience leading automation projects or contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
