Introduction

The Satellite Systems Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous enhancement of the satellite surveillance and interception systems based in Loyang, Singapore. This position is responsible for conducting regular system maintenance, implementing software updates and upgrades, and ensuring operational readiness of the platform.

The role supports customer demonstrations, system testing,and validations for the customer projects around the world that uses Singapore's unique location for Satellite Surveillance and Interception.  The successful candidate will work closely with the Munich team to support the Satellite scanning in this region.

Tasks

  • Testing and usage of a Satellite Interception System
  • Deployment of complex software on multi-server systems
  • Implementation and maintenance of a health monitoring system
  • Operation of a satellite antenna including changing of sectors, measuring of spectrum, verification of signal paths
  • Participate in requirement definition, project planning and development support. 
  • Support customer demonstrations, system deployment and fault resolution

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in system setup, support and maintenance.
  • Good understanding of software security, licensing, software deployment and network infrastructure setups.   
  • Experience with Linux based server systems and SNMP
  • Familiar with software deployment tools, eg. Ansible, Docker, Systemd
  • Knowledge in RF domain and principles
  • Basic knowledge in Satellite Communication and satellite antenna mechanical movements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and logical mindset.
