Tasks

• In this role you are responsible for defining and developing radar hardware, software and signal processing architecture at device level
• You define interfaces and functions across hardware, software, and DSP and drive the integration in close collaboration with a core team of engineers
• You analyze issues across all system layers and develop solution-oriented technical measures throughout the development and integration process
• While bringing the system to full functionality, you collaborate closely with different specialist teams, from clarifying requirements and quality expectations to final integration
• You actively support further development, maintenance and optimization and stay in close contact with production
• You train and mentor junior software engineers in phased‑array AESA techniques, algorithm development, and engineering best practices, fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented team environment.

Qualifications

• You have a degree in Engineering, Physics or similar field (PhD is a plus)
• You’re familiar with the fundamentals of radar systems, from IQ waveforms to antenna design
• You are a pragmatic out-of-the box thinker driving solutions quickly from first ideas to a final product
• You are a team player communicating clearly and formulating requirements and expectations precisely
• You can maintain an overview of many stakeholders and combine detailed work with a strong system-level understanding
• You communicate confidently and fluently in German and English language and are willing to travel internationally
